Is Email Marketing Dead in 2018? Most people will argue that email marketing is dead in 2018, and that Social Media has won. I’m here to tell you why email marketing is not dead. Social media is something that people will take a break from daily. People will not take a break from their email.
Why do I believe is not dead?
I believe that while social media seems to be the leader of all the money, email marketing churns on in 2018. If nothing else, you keep the conversation going with people that you meet on social media. Without email, you would not be able to pitch them new offers without running into some sort of social media block.
What I mean by that is that there are a lot of times recently that people just up and quit social media. Very rarely can someone afford to quit email. Email is embedded as a living breathing part of work, business, and social. It is in your work, your hobbies – ie.. ever try to start a fantasy league without some sort of email interaction?
What would have to change for email to die?
The internet would have to die. Is Email Marketing Dead in 2018? I would argue a big NO. The internet would literally have to disappear and go away for that to happen. If that happened, we’d be faced with no social media anyways.
